John T. Ordeman, who has a degree in art history from Williams College and graduate degrees in English and school administration from Columbia University and Johns Hopkins, spent forty years as a school master, twenty-eight of them as the headmaster of several independent schools. He now lives in retirement on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. For the past two decades, Ordeman's principal avocation has been writing on American sporting artists. Michael M. Schreiber has B.S. and M.D. degrees from Tulane University. He has been in the private practice of Dermatology for forty-one years and was a Clinical Associate Professor and Senior Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Medicine at the University of Arizona School of Medicine. He has been involved in epidemiologic cancer research since 1971 at the University of Arizona Cancer Center.
