On 3 April 1954 the product of an unlikely union first took to the track, at Snetterton in Norfolk. The Lister-MG sports racing car, driven by a Scottish amateur who made his living as a travelling salesman, stormed through to win. The driver was Archie Scott Brown and he was dreadfully disabled. Over the next five years he won 71 major races, 44 of them in Cambridge-build Lister cars. This book, which was named 'Book of the Year' by Classic & Sports Car magazine and is being re-issued to meet public demand, tells the story of that memorable partnership.Edwards, Robert is the author of 'Archie and the Listers The Heroic Story of Archie Scott Brown and the Marque He Made Famous', published 2004 under ISBN 9781844250493 and ISBN 1844250490.
