A software/text package intended for everyone who needs to use statistical methods for analysis of data. Simple types of linear models such as linear regression and analysis of variance are introduced and illustrated, while analysis of covariance and multiple regression are also discussed. The package uses microcomputer graphics to develop the user's intuition about the statistical methods discussed in the text. Mathematical formalism is kept to a minimum although the necessary mathematical details are given in each section. Emphasis is placed on allowing the user to learn by exploring the models and drawing pictures under his/her own control whilst referring to the text.
