Albertville

Beautiful Albertville, Alabama, originally settled in the mid-1800s, is home to a special community that has endured many trials and tribulations throughout its history. The town, once known as Jones Chapel, was named in honor of Thomas Albert by his son-in-law, J.C. Miller, who established the town's first post office. Albertville remained fairly secluded until the arrival of L.S. Emmett in 1881; this pioneer opened a mercantile store and thrust the town into a significant period of growth.
