African Animal Giants

A delightful pop-up book that provides pictures & information about the largest animals on the African continent: the ostrich, giraffe, hippopotamus, Nile crocodile, mountain gorilla, elephant, & rhinoceros. The book is illustrated by Robert Cremins, with paper engineering by Rick Morrison, of Blue Goose Studio. To compile the text, James Dietz, a mammologist who teaches at the Univ. of Maryland, drew on his personal experiences studying endangered animals in the wild.
