Tusky's jungle is preparing for Christmas. Each animal group is assigned to decorate a part of the jungle. Santa Claus gives a Grand Prize to the best decorated section. Tusky, his cousin Puffy, his sister Ellie, and his friend Packy are decorating with the elephants. At lunch, rather than wait in line for punch, they leave to get a drink at Packy's house. When they return, the elephant herd is moaning and are sick. They get a doctor who sends them to the village to get more help and medicine. Their friend Hooty finds Tusky in the jungle and realizes that the herd has been poisoned. Hooty's job is to find out who did it and why. Tusky and his friends bring the medicine in time and the herd is saved. But, the elephants are too sick to finish their decorating and will be unable to participate in either the jungle's Christmas Eve Dinner or the big Christmas Day Dinner. All the jungle animals volunteer to help the elephants decorate and also giive them food. Hooty suggests that all the animals work together to decorate the jungle. The Christmas spirit of giving and caring about others, sharing and helping others makes this a special Christmas.Greenberg, Kenneth R. is the author of 'Adventures of Tusky and His Friends A Christmas Mystery A Holiday Special' with ISBN 9781879100015 and ISBN 1879100010.
