Pamilla S. Tolen holds a bachelor's degree in anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is a graduate of the Summer Institute of Linguistics in Dallas, Texas. In addition she has studied near eastern cultures extensively. Currently she lives with her husband, Robert, in Concord, North Carolina, where she is the publisher of a regional magazine as well as a freelance writer.
