This three-volume reference, originally published in 1957-59 and out of print since 1973, is the most exhaustive source of information available on the men who attended the University of Oxford prior to 1500, men "varying greatly in their attainments, fortune, and importance, who in the aggregate represent a very influential section of medieval society in these islands."
